Dance Party

Part of my plateau buster plan was to vary my workout times. Tonight, I decided to workout after the kids went to bed. So, at 8:15, I popped in the Crunch Dance Party dvd. Crunch is a fitness club that began in NYC. It is ultra hip, ultra urban, and entirely peopled with hard bodies. At least, that's what the people on the tapes look like. The workout tapes are really fun. They are perfect for someone like me, who can't yet leave their babies at the gym playroom. I own 3 different dvds. The dance party is led by a woman without an ounce of fat on her body. She uses phrases like "dance it out" or "west coast holla!" Her moves are called "The Ole" and "Backbreaker." When I do the Party Funk section, I feel like I could challenge anyone to a dance-off. When I catch a glimpse of my reflection in the window, I realize I couldn't even win a dance-off with Mini-me. But I don't care. I will holla on behalf of the east coast continue to put bounce in my step. Party on.

As someone who thinks she should be mistaken for Audrey Hepburn, I am laughing out loud at your description of you and the Dance Party. You go, girl.
