Hard Lesson

Yesterday afternoon, Flower came home with a lot of homework. Normally she has one or two sheets. Last night, she had 22 pages. Her teacher, Mrs. Warren, gives them work to do in class. They are not supposed to play until the work is finished. Our sweet Flower thought that if she stuffed the pages into her seat pocket, she wouldn't ever have to do it. Mrs. Warren found them yesterday and said she had to finish them for homework. It took her 3 1/2 hours. She was exhausted by the end of it, but Curly really want to learn her lesson about procrastination. Let's hope she did.

The Thanksgiving decor is almost finished. I just need to put Muffy and Hoppy in their pilgrim and Indian garb. Then we will be a very thankful house.

Oh, my. Between Mini-me tossing sand and Flower stashing her homework you've had some tough stuff this week. This is why Patch is so popular with his Mommy -- he just smiles and coos.

I should also confess that one night when you were in the sixth grade I wrote a story for you so that you could go to bed. I hope they don't take away your elementary school diploma for that one.

Who are Muffy and Hoppy? I'm skipping Thanksgiving garb and going straight to the Christmas stuff. I'm starting either this weekend or at the beginning of next week. I usually have it up by now, but this month has seemed busy already. I'm going to try to put up less this year, because I also want to take it all down before leaving for our Christmas trip. We'll just have to see about that one, but it is my goal!

Muffy and Hoppy are two little gals who love to get dressed up for the holidays -- all of them. But watch out for Hoppy because that girl has some kind of attitude. I kid you not.
