Sew and Tell

Lately I have had a bee in my bonnet to make some doll clothes for our American Girl dolls. Since we were stuck inside with the snow, I had time to do an extensive search. I ordered a great pattern from Bunny Bear and then proceeded to not really follow it. The original had a cute collar and sleeves, but I wanted a little sundress. This is what the result is:
It's not perfect. Not even close. But, it's pretty darn cute. And, at $2.75, you can't beat the price. Next time I will follow the pattern and add sleeves and the collar.

Mini-me was pretty dang pleased with it. She asked for one in her size.
I also made this little Valentine's Day mini-quilt. I used my Cricut to cut out the letters and the heart. I love my Cricut. It's awesome.

The envelope opens. I am going to put little treats in it for my kids for Valentine's Day. Next year I'll put it out earlier so I can be putting notes in it all month long.

Again this week I am linking up over at amylouwho. Go check out the other fabulous projects and be inspired to create something this week!

Love the letters with your Cricut. I have been wanting one. I wonder if I can talk my husband into one for V day instead of the necklace.

so cute! I have a cricut - did you cut the actual fabric with it? I have one of the old ones and I think it only cuts paper.

I want to make some doll clothes....

love the doll dress! Oh, and thanks a lot (sarcasm!) - I never saw the need for a cricut before, now I feel the urge to run out and impulse buy one. Great.

I don't know why you don't get yourself on down to Etsy; your stuff is too cute. I love the doll dress and your Valentine wall hanging is so cute. Can't wait to see Mini-me in her doll/sister dress.

That's a great idea using the cricut to cut out the letter. I have one but hadn't thought of doing that. Any special hints to doing it?
