Decorations

This is the table runner I made this week. It's a Piece's from my Heart pattern, designed by Sandy Gervais; and uses Moda's Red, White, and Bold, also designed by Sandy Gervais.

I must be very shaky, because my pictures always are blurry. Oh well. Aunt Becky just left with Patch and Mini-me, and now the house is oh so quiet. Patch did not want to go at first, but now he is resigned. The will have more fun than they can shake a stick at down at the O'Kigin house in Virginia.

Tomorrow we are celebrating Uncle Boo's birthday, and then Friday we celebrate America's birthday. Let's have some cake! For tomorrow, I am trying to decide between a giant cupcake or a flag cake. Patch's birthday is one month from today, and I am hoping to recreate the Cars racetrack on a cake. It's his favorite movie, and he is never without his Lightning or Sally. In fact, Lightning is one of the few words he can say clearly enough for me to get it the first time. That, and "no."

That's a cute table runner. Did you quilt it on your little machine, or thread it onto the MegaQuilter!!!!!

Thanks for the runner love. I did it on my Lena (also a Husqvarna machine), mainly because it's so small (20x13-ish). I just used my walking foot, and with the MEGAQUILTER, I would have to free-motion it. I am trying to decide what to do as a back-to-school runner.
