Weight Loss Wednesday

Poor Mini-me woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday and that tomorrow is the last day of school. Nope. Although sometimes I think it would be nice to skip a day. Especially a rainy one like this one where I have to get a filling replaced. That's no fun. Last night I made a present for Mini-me's teacher. It's a cute little bag. I'm going to have a hard time letting it go! I'll post a picture as soon as I give it to her.

I had a great week this week. I am down 1.4 pounds, for a grand total of 22.8 pounds lost. I hit my 10% goal, and got my great Weight Watchers key chain. I put it right on the outside of my diaper bag, so I can look at it and be reminded to stay on program. I had to lose points this week. Ginger is now eating some food, like rice cereal and applesauce and green beans (which make her gag). When you're a nursing mom, you get 10 extra points a day. When you nurse and are supplementing with food, you only get 5 extra points. It hasn't been that bad. As long as I plan ahead, I'm good to go. I try to eat things that have a lot of food for their point value, which makes me fuller for longer. Is "fuller" a word? It should be.

This summer we are driving to Sun Valley for a family reunion. I am so excited. The kids keep talking about all the fun things we are going to do. Mainly, they want to ice skate. Me, too! The drive has me a little nervous, though. With fast food and junk food being the norm for a road trip, planning ahead is going to be key so I don't balloon up on the way there. Any tips to help me out? I'm sure we could come up with a great list!

oooh i had to travel across country to move while doing weight watchers once and i used gorcery store stops to help out...subway is not my favorite but at the time that was the only place to get a simple salad. i just tried to go light on breakfast and lunch and be as sensible as possible at dinner.

great job this week!!

I was going to suggest Subway, too. We have taken our kids there a couple of times lately to get ready for the SV trip. We don't want to fast food it the whole way.

You're only in the car a few days, so do the best you can. You'll walk it off, skate it off, swim it off, hike it off, laugh it off in SV.Promise.
