I am leaving tonight. Actually, I leave in about 3.5 hours when I pick up the kids from school. I haven't even packed yet. I'm not too stressed about that part -- I mean, it's not like I'm packing all 6 of us up. No, what stresses me out is that my in-laws lose a kid. It kept me up until 2:45 in the morning. They never have lost a kid, so it's not like my fears are founded in reality.
Anyway, I have 6 hours of travelling. All. By. My. Self. YAY! I love flying alone. I can sleep or read or watch the movie. And no one asks to share my snack. It's heavenly. I'm taking my Nook, but I'm almost done with my book (Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet). What should I read next? What have you read recently? What do you like to read on a plane? Please share! It can be slightly trashy, don't be ashamed! I love a good Jennifer Crusie every once in a while ;) Thanks!
I'm taking my laptop with me, so expect updates from The Quilted Fish headquarters!

Oh you lucky girl! Hit up all the fab quilt shops while you're out there -- I LOVE Utah quilt shops!
You've probably already read The Help. That would be my suggestion. My reading this year has been abysmal!
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!!
I personally love quilt mystery books, but alas my life has been far too hectic for me to read much. Oh wait, I did read this great book called Murder on a Bad Hair Day. It was awesome!!
Read Ann Patchett's new book. I can't remember the title. Or read the one I read when I was sick -- To Be Sung Underwater. But you're probably on your way by now and won't read this list...
State of Wonder ( book Patty referred to). It is EXCELLENT! Have fun!
How about Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series? I think there are at least 17 books so far, and a new one coming out next month. Stephanie works as a bounty hunter for her uncle, a bail bondsman. The first one I read was #8 (I think) and when I was reading about the woman who held up a Fritos truck with a rattail comb - and explained why she did it, I laughed so hard tears were running down my face. I had to go back to #1 & read them all!
Enjoy the freedom! Sounds heavenly.
Get off my couch and do a blog post.
