June just busted out all over, didn't it? I had high hopes for this week of picking up the kids from school and heading to the pool. Alas, it is cold. Today I have on a sweatshirt. And while I am grateful for the opportunity to turn off the AC for another week, I really would like to sun myself by the water. Like my mother before me, I really don't like to get in until August.
I have a customer quilt I'm finishing up, and then I can start on my Halloween goodness. I am so excited. Are you excited? I hope you've picked a project (or two) to work on. And maybe a movie to watch while you work. I mean, could there be a better reason for a woman in her mid-30s to watch all 8 Harry Potter movies this month? I think not.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you're working on! I love comments, don't you? They make me feel like I'm at the popular table at lunch. You know, the one where all the girls are carrying ironic children's lunchboxes.

Well, it is cold here in Melbourne, too - only 14 degrees celsius today. Enjoy your stitching, I am working on an exchange piece and on Cinderella. Check out my progress on my blog and please enter my 1st blogoversary giveaway if you have not done so already.

I just got back from the pool! I'm going to be working on an embroidery pattern with a pieced border. The pattern is called Which Witch's Boot by Meg Hawkey of Crabapple Hill Studio. I ordered some of the new Guising line of fabrics to use for the borders.
Cold here, too!. I am wanting to work on the same one Lynn is doing. But I need to get some floss and some fabric to do it in! LOL.
I am trying to recreate a zig zag afghan that Gammy made me in the 70's.....quite fun. Also just finished a little project for upcoming granddaughter.
it is cool here too. we were wearing socks and sweaters yesterday. but i am ok with that. i am not a fan of summer. as for working on...i am going to try to quilt my salt air quilt...i got it all pinned up this morning.
The baby washcloth project continues. Guess what? I got in the pool LAST week. I broke my record by two months. Igor, our lifeguard, was not impressed.
Cool and wet here in the UK but it didn't spoil our jubilee celebrations!
You ARE the popular girl at the table! I'm sitting here with my SnooPy lunchbox - wanna trade a Twinkie for a dingdong?
